Company Story

In 1983 Pete Fay and Ed Wright both from Goshen, CT realized the potential of the upcoming market regarding development and the construction industry and formed Fay & Wright Excavating Inc. Beginning as a local residential site work contractor they quickly expanded to the commercial arena. This necessitated purchasing larger and more versatile equipment. In 1987 they purchased their first portable rock crusher. Over the years Fay & Wright has become the trusted name in the industry for responding quickly and efficiently to effectively turn unwanted rock and/or demolition debris into quality usable products.

After 30 years of hard work Pete and Ed decided to shift gears and begin retirement. Pete resigned in 2015 and Ed has entered semi-retirement. Jared Denis, previously a business owner, heavy equipment operator for 22 years and a 10-year employee of Fay & Wright, was appointed VP in 2015. Lee Baldwin joined the team as VP in 2016. Lee brings the experience of an equipment operator, equipment mechanic and knowledge of a variety of heavy equipment and sales after being in Caterpillar equipment sales for the last 15 years.

The formation of this new partnership has led to an expansion of Fay & Wright yet Jared and Lee remain focused on Pete and Ed’s keys to success:
